Eight years ago, digital asset accounting barely existed. We set out to build the financial infrastructure the industry was missing, and along the way helped define the digital asset subledger category. In 2026, stablecoins are reshaping global payments, tokenized assets are entering mainstream finance, and now AI is changing how work itself gets.
Just as digital assets required a new financial infrastructure, AI requires a new operational infrastructure for finance. That’s the future we’re building toward.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce Bitwave Agentic - our vision for the AI-native finance organization. Here at Bitwave, we believe the next generation of financial AI will extend far beyond assistants waiting for someone to enter a prompt. Financial agents will perform ongoing work, monitor activity, investigate exceptions, build specialized workflows, and bring decisions back to human teams.
AI is only as trustworthy as the financial systems underneath it. Autonomous finance requires structured accounting data, deterministic workflows, audit trails, permissions, and human oversight. Those are exactly the problems Bitwave has spent the last eight years solving for crypto.
Throughout this week, we’ll be unveiling different parts of this agentic future, where people and agents work together on the hardest finance and accounting products.
Our first announcement is KubeClaw, an open-source platform for securely operating autonomous AI agents inside regulated financial environments.
Today’s agent frameworks were largely designed for developers. Finance teams have different requirements: data governance, auditability, approval workflows, restricted tools, and complete visibility into every action an agent takes. Accountants need to be more vigilant about what they install and how they work than anyone, and that’s a drag on adoption. KubeClaw is designed for security-conscious finance teams that are looking to incorporate autonomous agents into their workflows, but need better controls. It’s a major component of powering our own internal agentic flows, and something we’re thrilled to give back to the ecosystem. If you’re looking for better visibility into how your bookkeepers are using agents or automating the activity, find it on GitHub, or reach out - we’d love to chat.
