Streamlined Aave accounting with Bitwave

Decentralized lending protocol offering interest-earning and borrowing.

Why connect Aave to Bitwave ?

Aave positions recognized on sync

When a synced wallet holds Aave deposit receipts, borrowing positions, or staked AAVE, Bitwave identifies them as Aave positions on Ethereum, Polygon, or Avalanche and resolves the underlying assets behind them.

Supplies, borrows, and repayments categorized as positions

Deposits into and withdrawals from Aave can be categorized in Bitwave as vault deposits, borrows, repayments, or rewards, so a supply to Aave is treated as a position change rather than a disposal.

Lending balances and debt in reporting

Aave supply balances appear in the Bitwave balance report as DeFi vault positions and outstanding borrows as DeFi debt, and the DeFi return view can measure return on supplied assets.

How it works

Bitwave works with the wallets that interact with Aave, not with Aave itself. You add the wallet address to Bitwave on the relevant network, and Bitwave syncs its transactions, including the deposit receipts, borrowing positions, and staked AAVE that Aave issues to the wallet.

Bitwave recognizes those tokens as Aave positions and resolves the underlying assets, so your team can categorize the activity as positions instead of treating each movement as a trade.

The workflow:

  1. Add the wallet that uses Aave to Bitwave on Ethereum, Polygon, or Avalanche.
  2. Bitwave syncs the wallet's transactions and identifies Aave position tokens.
  3. Categorize supplies, borrows, repayments, and reward claims as positions, individually or through rules.
  4. Review Aave positions and debt in the balance report and carry the results into gain/loss and journal entry reporting.

Key Benefits

What makes the Bitwave integration with Aave special ?

Lending and borrowing on Aave produces token movements that look like trades on the surface but are position changes in substance. If they are recorded as disposals, cost basis and gains are misstated. Bitwave recognizes Aave's position tokens and lets your team account for supplies, borrows, and repayments for what they are.

Because Aave positions and debt appear in the balance report and can be categorized with rules, the finance team gets a period-end view that includes supplied collateral and outstanding borrows alongside the rest of the digital asset portfolio, with interest income and rewards categorized to the accounts your general ledger expects.
