Streamlined Anchorage Digital accounting with Bitwave

Federally chartered digital asset bank offering institutional custody.

Why connect Anchorage Digital to Bitwave ?

Vaults and wallets imported together

With a read-only connection to Anchorage, Bitwave finds the vaults and wallets in your account and brings in their transactions, so each custody wallet is represented in Bitwave without manual setup per wallet.

Trades, settlements, and staking captured

Bitwave imports Anchorage trades and settlement activity alongside transfers, and reads staking positions so paid-out staking rewards can be categorized to the right revenue accounts.

Custody balances checked against Bitwave

Bitwave pulls balances from Anchorage each time it updates, so your team can compare custody balances with the balances Bitwave derives from transactions when validating a period.

How it works

Bitwave connects to Anchorage Digital with a read-only access credential you create in the Anchorage dashboard. Bitwave does not hold your Anchorage login and cannot move assets; the connection reads transaction, trade, settlement, staking, and balance data.

Once connected, Bitwave finds the vaults and wallets under that credential and brings their history into the digital asset subledger, where your team categorizes and carries the results into reporting and the general ledger.

The workflow:

  1. Create a read-only access credential in the Anchorage Digital dashboard and add it in Bitwave.
  2. Bitwave finds your vaults and wallets and brings in transfers, trades, settlements, and staking activity.
  3. Categorize the imported activity in Bitwave, one by one or with rules.
  4. Reconcile and carry the results into gain and loss reporting and your general ledger.

Key Benefits

What makes the Bitwave integration with Anchorage Digital special ?

Institutional custody at Anchorage Digital spreads assets across vaults and wallets, and each one produces transfers, trades, settlements, and staking rewards that have to reach the books. Bitwave reads that activity in one connection and organizes it by wallet, so the subledger mirrors your custody structure.

For the finance team, custody activity is categorized in the same place as on-chain and exchange activity, staking income is identified when paid out, and custody balances can be compared with subledger balances at period end, giving a defensible basis for the digital asset figures reported from Anchorage holdings.
