Streamlined Circle accounting with Bitwave

Issuer of USDC stablecoin and blockchain-based payment infrastructure.

Why connect Circle to Bitwave ?

Circle Mint wallets found from one connection

With a read-only Circle credential, Bitwave finds the wallets in your Circle Mint account, including the master wallet, and brings in their transfers without configuring each wallet separately.

Transfer direction resolved for accounting

Bitwave classifies each Circle transfer by its source and destination, recording wallet-to-blockchain movements as withdrawals, blockchain-to-wallet movements as deposits, and wallet-to-wallet movements as paired legs.

Fiat and USDC amounts kept distinct

Circle transfers carry fiat or USDC amounts, and Bitwave preserves that distinction on import, so minting and redemption flows can be categorized correctly against your cash and digital asset accounts.

How it works

Bitwave connects to Circle Mint with an access credential issued in the Circle console. The connection is read-oriented; Bitwave imports transfer history and wallet information and does not initiate Circle payouts.

Once the credential is added, Bitwave finds your Circle wallets and brings their transfers into the subledger, where each movement is categorized and reconciled.

The workflow:

  1. Create a Circle access credential and add it in Bitwave.
  2. Bitwave finds your Circle Mint wallets and brings in transfers, classifying each as a deposit, withdrawal, or internal movement.
  3. Categorize the imported transfers in Bitwave, one by one or with rules.
  4. Reconcile and carry results into your general ledger and reporting.

Key Benefits

What makes the Bitwave integration with Circle special ?

Organizations that mint and redeem USDC through Circle move value between bank accounts, Circle wallets, and blockchain addresses, and each hop has to be booked correctly. Bitwave imports Circle Mint transfers with their direction and amount type resolved, so those movements are not mistaken for trades or lost between systems.

For the finance team, stablecoin treasury activity is categorized in the same subledger as on-chain and exchange activity, wallet-to-wallet movements are treated as transfers, and the resulting entries carry into the general ledger with the rest of the period's digital asset activity.
