Auditor-level access, nothing more
Gemini lets you create a credential with the Auditor role and trading disabled, and that is what Bitwave uses, so the connection reads your history without the ability to trade or withdraw.

Trades by symbol and transfers
Bitwave imports Gemini trades for each traded symbol along with deposits and withdrawals, recording fills with their fees so cost basis and gains can be computed per asset.

Earn activity as its own stream
Gemini Earn history and balances are imported separately from trades and transfers, so interest earned and movements into and out of Earn can be categorized rather than netted into balance changes.
How it works
Bitwave connects to Gemini with an access credential you create in Gemini's settings, using the Primary scope with the Auditor role enabled and Trading disabled.
After the credential is added, Bitwave brings balances, transfers, trades, and Earn history into the subledger for categorization and reconciliation.
The workflow:
- Create an Auditor-role access credential in Gemini and add it in Bitwave.
- Bitwave brings in balances, deposits and withdrawals, trades by symbol, and Earn history.
- Categorize trades, transfers, and fees in Bitwave, one by one or with rules.
- Reconcile, then report gains, losses, and fees through your general ledger connection.
.avif)
Gemini accounts used for treasury or trading produce fills across symbols, funding transfers, and, for participants, Earn interest. Bitwave reads each of these as its own stream so the subledger reflects trading, funding, and yield distinctly.
For the finance team, Gemini trades receive cost basis and gain and loss treatment, transfers are categorized as funding movements, Earn interest is identified as income, and balances are captured for reconciliation, so a Gemini account closes with a clear separation between trading results and yield.
Complete. Transparent. Secure.
ERPs
