U.S.-based exchange with fiat on-ramps and futures trading.

Full history from Kraken's export
Bitwave requests Kraken's own ledger and trade exports, so each update covers the account's history rather than a recent window, reducing gaps when a credential is replaced or an update is rerun.

Trades rebuilt from ledger entries
Kraken records a trade as several related ledger entries, and Bitwave groups those entries back into trades with fees, while single entries become deposits or withdrawals.

Staking tickers and balances handled
Bitwave translates Kraken's internal asset codes, including its staking and earn variants, into standard tickers, and pulls account balances each time so your team can validate the subledger against the exchange.
How it works
Bitwave connects to Kraken with an access credential you create under Connections and API. It needs permission to query funds, orders, trades, and ledger entries and to export data; deposit, withdrawal, and order permissions stay off, and Bitwave cannot access your funds.
After the credential is added, Bitwave requests Kraken's ledger and trade exports, rebuilds trades from the ledger, and brings the results with balances into the subledger.
The workflow:
- Create a Kraken access credential with query and export permissions and add it in Bitwave.
- Bitwave requests the ledger and trade exports and rebuilds trades, deposits, and withdrawals.
- Review and categorize the imported records, with rules handling repeat counterparties.
- Reconcile and carry results into gain and loss reporting and your general ledger.
.avif)
Kraken's ledger is thorough but low-level: a single trade appears as several related entries, and asset codes differ from market tickers. Bitwave does the reassembly and translation, so the subledger receives trades with fees and transfers in the assets your reports use.
For the finance team, that means Kraken trades ready for cost basis and gain and loss, staking and earn variants mapped to the right assets, balances available for validation, and a history-wide import that limits gaps, so Kraken activity is reconciled with confidence at period end.
Complete. Transparent. Secure.
