Streamlined Tempo accounting with Bitwave

Payments-first Layer 1 blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, giving businesses and developers a stablecoin-native settlement layer for global payments.

Why connect Tempo to Bitwave ?

Payments-first chain, payments-first accounting

Tempo is built for stablecoin payments, and Bitwave brings in each payment and transfer from your address with the counterparty attached, so high-volume payment flows arrive ready to categorize.

Fees booked in the stablecoin paid

Tempo charges network fees in stablecoins rather than a separate gas token, and Bitwave records each fee in the currency actually paid, including fees billed to a sponsor on sponsored transactions.

Tokens identified, reported with other chains

Token activity on Tempo arrives identified, and the whole history appears in the same transactions view, rules, and reports as your other networks, so Tempo closes with your standard process.

How it works

Bitwave tracks Tempo addresses you import and maintains its own record of the chain. Once you import your Tempo wallet address, Bitwave brings in the address's payments, token transfers, contract interactions, and fees.

Because Tempo fees are paid in stablecoins, Bitwave books each fee in that stablecoin rather than inventing a separate fee asset, and it attributes fees on sponsored transactions to the sponsoring account. The activity is then categorized and carried into reporting.

The workflow:

  1. Import your Tempo wallet address into Bitwave.
  2. Bitwave brings in payments, token transfers, contract interactions, and stablecoin-denominated fees.
  3. Categorize the activity, one by one or with rules based on counterparties.
  4. Review balances and carry the results into your reports and general ledger.

Key Benefits

What makes the Bitwave integration with Tempo special ?

Tempo is designed for businesses moving stablecoins at scale, and the accounting challenge is volume plus a fee model that differs from other chains. Bitwave brings Tempo payments in by address with counterparties attached and records fees in the stablecoin they were paid in, so neither the volume nor the fee model breaks the books.

For the finance team, payment flows on Tempo are categorized with rules, fee expense is booked in the right currency, and balances tie to the chain, so stablecoin operations on Tempo close within the same workflow as every other network.
